Big Time Gaming (BTG) was founded in Sydney, Australia back in 2011. This online slots developer went relatively unnoticed until the release the mega hit Bonanza in 2016. This high stakes slot propelled BTG into virtually every licensed casino lobby you can think of and made the Megaways™ game engine a household brand amongst slots players.

Leading up to 2016, highly volatile slots tended to offer low numbers of paylines and infrequent wins. However, Big Time had created a bit of an oxymoron by creating games with enormous ‘ways to win’ (Bonanza has 117,649 as an example), but could payout huge wins in a single spin.

The previously mention Bonanza was a huge hit for the company, but they have also released other slots that have gained significant popularity, including Danger High Voltage, Extra Chilli and Opal Fruits to name a few. In 2018 they created a slot inspired by the global hit TV Game Show – Who Want’s To Be A Millionaire?

In 2018 the company started licensing their Megaways™ game engine out to other developers including BluePrint Gaming, Relax Gaming, iSoftbet and many more. In 2021 the company was bought by Evolution, but continues to develop slots under the Big Time Gaming brand name.

Big Time Gaming have multiple licenses to operate as a supplier of gambling software, such as the UK Gambling Commission, Alderney Gambling Control Commission, and Malta Gaming Authority, allowing them to operate in large parts of the world.
